Welcome to the fourth edition of console.log(weekly), my weekly update on my talent programme minor. This week was a week of handling 2 demos and the flu simultaneously while waiting 8-12 hours for an EAS build.
What I did this week
On the moments where I wasn’t increasing my autism with Tylenol I was working as hard as possible for this demo. Unfortunately the demo on Wednesday was one of the worst demos of my life. A combination of sickness and having to wait a full workday for each device deployment resulted into a half energy, half baked demo that I probably should have cancelled. After this demo Zuyd was kind enough to provide me a premium expo subscription wich will hopefully help me deploy faster. As of writing this the next demo is 24 hours away and this time I’m prepared. I feel better and I have everything ready I want to show.
Some feedback on myself
In hindsight I probably should have cancelled the demo, I wasted my time, my clients time and the time of my coach. Development wise everything I could have done worked out pretty okay but on a professional level I should have cancelled the demo.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow I have a demo with designers, developers and marketeers from 35 and Aisler, I want to spend the entire day building up to that demo, creating a small presentation, double and tripple checking the demo build so I can gain as valuable feedback as possible.
Next week
Not to be cheap, but unfortunately I can copy paste my goals for this week to next week, lets hope thats not needed next week.
During the demo on Friday I want to gather valuable insights, these insights will be used next week to modify aspects of my product,. On Wednesday next week I will be having a demo with the client, this is the next deadline to work towards, so processing Friday’s feedback needs to be done before Wednesday and I plan to spend the rest of the week on the CMS integration.
If Tylenol really caused autism the US would have a functional public transport network.
